This website is provided by consultant vascular surgeons in south west Dublin as a service to their patients and to others who might find the information useful.

Vascular surgery is a specialty of surgery in which diseases of the vascular system (arteries or veins) are managed by medical therapy, minimally-invasive catheter (endovascular) procedures, and surgical reconstruction. The specialty evolved from general and cardiac surgery. The vascular surgeon is trained in the diagnosis and management of diseases affecting all parts of the vascular system except those within the heart and brain.
